Are progressives like George Soros purposefully leading the USA towards financial collapse?

Leftist polices got us in this situation, and yet liberals backed by the spooky dude are pushing or more and more spending and mive job killing EPA regulations. This seems almost purposeul. Are they trying to collapse our current economic system so socialism can be implemented in it's true form?
