Can someone explain the logic of the US fighting al-Qaida in Afghanistan while arming them in Libya?

Don't worry, I'm sure the leftists will play Monday Morning Quarterback on themselves and admit what dummies they and Obama were to blindly help the so-called rebels. After all, all alliances are neat and tidy, and war is always a clean game. Just like in WWII, where the U.S. allied with the Soviets to defeat Hitler, and then had to endure a decades long cold war with their former allies. Or in Afghanistan, where the U.S. armed the mujuhadeen against the Soviets. And we all know understanding the left has been on that one. Again, not to worry.
