Help using fruity loops 9 music studio?

On average using this program how long should it take you to make a good beat i am not so good at using this program but im learning and its hard watching these tutorials and people be making these killer beats within mins is it staged or do they really just think about it on the spot i want kick azz beats 2 so do i keep practicing or what.
