Is my kid 3 yrs old slower or in normal range

My boy is turning 3 nxt mth. He is in a nursery cl now and I'm a bit worry cos he can only count to 10, A-Z and do colouring quite well. But he can't write not even trace. He can't draw a nice circle or draw a straight line. Is he slow compare to other kids about his age or is in normal range. And how can i encourage him to do tracing as he gets very angry when he cant trace well.
