Puppy with discospondylitis???

my 11 mth rotty pup has been diagnosed with discospondylitis. her pain is terrible and its been 6 weeks with no relief of her symptoms. it is a long healing process and am more curious as to what i can do for pain management as her painkillers dont seem to be all that effective. any advice on her condition would be greatly apppreciated. thanks.
